Or not. But here goes:
I've been informed that my version of "our story" is not 100% correct, so I'm going to have to back track a bit. I thought that Nick decided to "friend" me on facebook after seeing pictures of Sheila's wedding pop up in his FB newsfeed. This is why I gave so much credit to Sheila and Mike. Apparently, this is untrue. Instead, my picture popped up in the suggested friends area for Nick on facebook. This peaked his curiosity so he looked through my pictures. Now, Sheila and Mike (or at least their photographer) deserve some credit, because there was one picture in particular that helped him determine whether or not I was single. No ring.
So, anyway, facebook brought us together. He added me as a friend. I was in Park Library creating draft schedules for incoming freshmen when I got the message. I was a little confused, wondering why after all this time he wanted to reconnect. I thought maybe he just wanted to be FB friends and not talk--you know you have FB "friends" that you never talk to. But then, as soon as I clicked CONFIRM, he messaged me. EEK! We chatted, for kind of awhile actually. It was really a fun conversation. And then I gave him my number. And then he called me--whoa--it was weird to hear his voice again. And then we talked for almost 3 hours! And then just kept talking...and chatting...and emailing.

After our first date, we saw each other about every three or four weeks. Long distance wasn't fun, but when you are dating your best friend, you make it work! And there were some good things about being 750 miles apart: surprising each other by mailing things back and forth, going on extravagant dates when you DO get to see each other, and spending a lot of time TALKING an getting to know each other.
But...I'm glad that we live a little closer together now.
